AmeriQual was founded in 1987, and began producing thermal-processed pouch products for the United States Department of Defense (DoD) in 1988. In 2006, AmeriQual initiated sales of an emergency ration for non-military use (APACK™ Ready Meal) and commercialized a non- thermal food preservation technology called High Pressure Processing (HPP). AmeriQual is one of only a handful of companies in the United States currently offering High Pressure Processing (HPP).
